Blake KochAdvisorPH: 214-886-2451 Blake Koch recently stepped down from his position as the Vice President and General Manager of the Victoria Generals following his fifth season with the team in 2013. Blake will serve as an adviosr for the team as they prepare for the 2014 season. In Blake's first year as GM, the Generals won the 2010 Texas Collegiate League Championship, finishing with a record of 34-17 and ranked #14 in the nation by Perfect Game CrossChecker. Blake joined the Generals front office in 2009 after serving as the teams assistant coach during their inaugural season, helping lead the team to a regular season championship with a record of 32-16. The Generals finished the season ranked #22 in the nation. In Blake's five seasons with the Generals, the team compiled an overall record of 162-117-2. The Generals made it to the TCL Championship Series four times in five years during Blake's tenure. Blake is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University where he received his Master of Education Degree in Sport and Recreation Management while serving as a graduate assistant baseball coach for two years. Blake also had a successful playing career at HSU, earning accolades as an All-Conference catcher in the American Southwest Conference his junior and senior seasons. Before attending Hardin-Simmons, Blake played at McLennan Community College where he was named a Distinguished Academic All-American. Blake is from Duncanville, Texas where he played for legendary coach Bob Rombach who ranks second all-time in high school baseball wins in the state of Texas and is a member of the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame. Blake and his wife, Lindsey, relocated to Dallas following the 2013 season. Blake is currently working on his doctorate degree at the United States Sports Academy.
